Reed on if you want more information on these new ingredients

Malus Domestica - Apple Stem Cell Extract is a liposomal preparation based on the stem cells of a rare Swiss apple; Uttwiler Spatlauber is an endangered apple variety that was well-known for its excellent storability and thus its longevity potential. Thanks to a new technology , plant stem cells can be obtained and incorporated into cosmetic products to ensure the longevity of skin cells. The protection of human stem cells has been shown by various in-vitro experiments. Other studies demonstrated its age-delaying and anti-wrinkle effects. Thus Malus Domestica is a revolutionary anti-aging active ingredient. "Stem cells can turn into younger cells for any type or organ, including creating fresh new skin."

Alpha-Arbutin: derived from Bearberry a small evergreen bush and Dock weed a Canadian weed. Promotes even skin tone and skin brightening on all skin types. Minimizes liver spots, blocks melanin synthesis, suppresses unwanted pigmentation rather than killing pigment producing cells. Safer than Hydroquinone.

Dimethyl Isosorbide (DMI) is a high purity carrier which offers a safe and effective delivery mechanism for active ingredients providing enhanced penetration to the epidermis reaching areas that would otherwise go untreated. Improves shelf live and has the ability to transport water soluble actives into skin without recrystallization of the active ingredient.

Gluconolactone blended with sodium benzoate and calcium gluconate offer broad spectrum preservative action Gluconolatone acts as a moisturizer and antioxidant. It is a gluten-free fermented food starch derived from non genetically-modified corn. Considered a next generation AHA’s, Gluconolactone is a Polyhydroxy acid (PHA) suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin and is non-irritating. According to the developer, gluconolactone containing formulations reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Pentapeptide-18 reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the contraction of muscles of facial expression, especially in the forehead and around the eyes. Pentapeptide-18 targets in vitro the wrinkle-formation mechanism of expression wrinkles in a new way, offering an alternative to peptides like Argireline.

Copper-peptides can replace fat injections since they increase subcutaneous (baby) fat while rebuilding blood circulation and nerve outgrowth. Not only do these molecules reduce fine lines and wrinkles, they also diminish photo damage, blemishes and inflammation. Copper Peptide is often referred to as the most effective skin regeneration product, even though it’s only been on the market since 1997. Here’s why: Studies have shown that copper peptide promotes collagen and elastin production, and also acts as an antioxidant. It also promotes production of glycosaminoglycans (think hyaluronic acid, as an example). Studies have also shown that copper-dependent enzymes increase the benefits of the body’s natural tissue building processes. The substance helps to firm, smooth, and soften skin, doing it in less time than most other anti-aging skin care products. Clinical studies have found that copper peptides also remove damaged collagen and elastin from the skin and scar tissue because they activate the skin’s system responsible for those functions.

Hexapeptide-3 and 8 (Argireline) is composed of amino acids. It works through a unique mechanism which relaxes facial tension leading to a reduction in superficial facial lines and wrinkles with regular use.

Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3, Palmotyl Tetrapeptide-7 (Matrixyl™ 3000 ). Act as messengers of cutaneous restructuration and repair, these two peptides work synergistically to restore and maintain the skin's youthful appearance.

Acetyl Octapeptide-3 (SNAP 8) This anti wrinkle octapeptide is an elongation of the famous hexapeptide Argireline®. It reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the contraction of muscles of facial expression, especially in the forehead and around the eyes. In clinical studies, the severity of wrinkles around the eyes decreased up to 63.13%. Both in vivo and in vitro efficacy testing suggests that this peptide is approximately 30% more active than its parent peptide in Argireline.

Palmitoyl Dipeptide-5 (and) Palmitoyl Dipeptide-6: is a new combination of two peptides that interact with the most relevant protein structures of the DEJ (dermal-epidermal junction) which provides structural and functional integrity to the skin. That functionality starts to decline around the age of 30 and is even accelerated by external and environmental influences such as UV light, resulting in decreasing skin compactness, elasticity and a lack of skin firmness. These peptides significantly stimulate Laminin V, Collagen type IV, VII and XVII and Intergrin at once. With this broad spectrum activity it is possible to achieve the utmost structural benefit for the skin. By increasing the activity of these proteins the whole structure of the DEJ is improved. This leads to a significantly visible cosmetic benefit.
Resveratrol is a remarkable advanced anti-aging ingredient for skin resilience, reduction of fine lines, targets expression wrinkles, increases collagen synthesis, promotes extra cellular matrix, smooths skin and improvement in skin tone. Resveratrol promotes firming and helps rebuild structural integrity. Resveratrol is a polyphenolic compound found in grapes, red wine, purple grape juice, peanuts, and some berries. When taken orally, resveratrol appears to be well-absorbed by humans, but its bioavailability is relatively low because it is rapidly metabolized. In vivo, an anti-aging study has confirmed a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles following a 28-day application, as well as firming and lifting of the skin to reduce notable sagging that was present prior to treatment.

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (C): is a very stable, oil-soluble Vitamin C ester which has anti-oxidant activity, inhibiting lipid peroxidation. Topical use can mitigate the damaging effects of UV exposure. Studies have shown it to stimulate collagen production as well as clarifying and brightening the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis (the production of pigment) thereby promoting a more even skin tone. Unlike ascorbic acid, it will not exfoliate or irritate skin.
Thermus Thermophilus Ferment originates in the extreme heat of deep sea hydrothermal vents. In vivo it potentiates the self-protective capability of the skin, generating a flexible and modulated response to aggression, while the active substance is stable and almost inexhaustible compared to the alternatives (vitamins, polyphenols, SOD). It prevents the visible signs of photo-ageing (spots, wrinkles, dryness), protects cell structures from UV damage and reinforces skin integrity.
Retinol: This is a derivative of vitamin A, and you will see that a lot of skin care products contain retinol. Retinol’s stronger counterpart is tretinoin, which is the active ingredient in Retin-A and Renova. If your skin is too sensitive to use Retin-A, retinol is an excellent alternative. Here’s why skin responds to skin care products with retinol: vitamin A has a molecular structure that’s tiny enough to get into the lower layers of skin, where it finds collagen and elastin. Retinol is proven to improve mottled pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture, skin tone and color, and your skin’s hydration levels. You may also hear about retinyl palmitate. This falls into the same family as retinol, but if the skin care product you choose contains retinyl palmitate, you will need to use more of this product than one that contains retinol to get the same effect.

Niacinamide is the active form of Vitamin B3. A safe, nonirritating cosmeceutical ingredient which research shows can offer a number of benefits in improving the appearance of aged and photodamaged skin. Studies have shown topical niacinamide to be effective in improving skin texture and the appearance of hyperpigmented spots, with improvement in overall blotchiness and the reduction of the severity of fine lines. It has been shown to stimulate collagen synthesis and production of ceramide, a lipid compound that contributes to the functional and structural integrity of the skin barrier. Theoretically, by improving barrier integrity, niacinamide may help the skin become more resistant to external irritants.

Trepenone: provides anti-ageing benefiits and has a protective effect against stress. It offers improvement of tissue quality by optimal cell communication and assists in rebalancing of cell functions (metabolism). Teprenone targets the cell components that ensure lifespan and youth. It improves tissue quality and can extend cell lifespan by one third. Teprenone fights against all signs of aging by improving dehydration, age spots and ineffective barrier function. Teprenone improves skin moisture, redness and pore size, skin roughness and fine lines in 75 to 100% of the tested persons. The overall texture of the skin improved and was restored to a more youthful state.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid: You may have heard of alpha-lipoic acid as "the miracle in a jar" for its anti-aging effects. It’s a newer, ultra-potent antioxidant that helps fight future skin damage and helps repair past damage. Alpha-lipoic acid has been referred to as a "universal antioxidant" because it’s soluble in both water and oil, which permits its entrance to all parts of the cell. Due to this quality, it is believed that alpha-lipoic acid can provide the greatest protection against damaging free radicals when compared with other antioxidants. Alpha-lipoic acid diminishes fine lines, gives skin a healthy glow, and boosts levels of other antioxidants, such as vitamin C.

DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) – If you’ve heard of fish referred to as brain food, you can thank DMAE. This substance is naturally produced in the brain, but DMAE is also present in anchovies, salmon and sardines, boosting the production of acetylcholine, which is important for proper mental functions. DMAE in skin care products shows remarkable effects when applied topically to skin, resulting in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.

Centella Asiatica (also known as gotu kola and Indian pennywort) Traditionally used in the management of dermatological conditions in its native area, it is used to support faster healing of small wounds, scratches and superficial burns, as well as an anti-inflammatory for eczema, minor itching and insect bites. It increses oxigen consumption to the cells. Its active constituents are pentacyclic triterpenoids which have regulating and activating functions, acting on the collagen present in many organs. In skin, the major components are collagens type I and II. Skin aging is related mainly to a decrease in type I collagen levels, which also plays a major role in wound healing. Studies have shown that the main constituents of Centella asiatica (Asiatic acid, madecassic acid, and asiaticoside) increase collagen synthesis. In addition to stimulating the synthesis of collagen, it also improves tensile strength of the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid: skin care products containing this substance are often used in conjunction with vitamin C products to assist in effective penetration. Hyaluronic acid (also known as a glycosaminoglycan) is often touted for its ability to "reverse" or stop aging. In news reports, you might have heard of hyaluronic acid as the "key to the fountain of youth." This is because the substance occurs naturally (and quite abundantly) in humans and animals, and is found in young skin, other tissues, and joint fluid. Hyaluronic acid is a component of the body’s connective tissues, and is known to cushion and lubricate. As you age, however, the forces of nature destroy hyaluronic acid. Diet and smoking can also affect your body’s level of hyaluronic acid over time. Skin care products with hyaluronic acid are most frequently used to treat wrinkled skin.

Pomegranate Seed Oil has excellent moisturizing, protective and nourishing properties. It is wonderful oil for mature and aging skin, and is soothing to dry, irritated or sunburned skin. It contains a high amount of conjugated fatty acids which have anti-inflammatory properties. The specific fatty acid in pomegranate seed oil is Punicic Acid. Our cold pressed pomegranate contains a minimum of 70% punicic acid. In addition, pomegranate oil is said to help with collagen production, act as a free radical scavenger and boost restoration and repair of the skin.

Peptides have been scientifically proven to reduce skin wrinkles and reverse the signs of aging.
• A polypeptide is a single linear chain of amino acids.
• A protein is one or more polypeptides more than about 50 amino acids long.
• Peptides are short polymers formed from the linking, in a defined order, of an amino acid. The link between one amino acid residue and the next is called an amine bond or a peptide bond.
• There are many types of peptides http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=2918922&msgid=169727&act=2G0Z&c=606737&destination=http://www.sakasha.com/ 281.440.8779
